PSA Mumbai, part of the international port operating group PSA, has achieved a major milestone in its emissions reduction journey by becoming India’s first 100% renewable powered container terminal on the commissioning of its 7.8MW solar farm with O2 Power.
ESSOP has explored two ways in which ports can minimize their energy costs by using energy storage: • Optimising how to use PV solar generation to offset grid electricity. The wholesale price of energy varies every half-hour, and on a time-of-day tariff this variation is passed onto users.
